Daniel Grant, son of Ghana’s national team coach Avram Grant, has raised concerns about his father’s journey to Alexandria where the Black Stars will lock horns with the Pharaohs of Egypt in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The Israeli coach has failed to secure a win in his last four games in charge of the Black Stars, and he is burnt on returning to winning ways in this crucial game in an unfriendly zone, Egypt.

However, son of the coach, Daniel, was interviewed today on a sports program of Israel’s 102 FM in collaboration with ONE.

He revealed how uncomfortable the family is ahead of Avram Grant’s travel to Egypt.

“I ask him about it, but he [Avram] said, try not to get into it too much.”

“Of course I’m worried, I’m worried about what I hear, the media and anyone else, that people are stressed. But he does not talk to me about it; I believe it also that he tries not to worry me,” Daniel Grant revealed.

Israel government’s most important security body, Mossad, has also warned Ghana coach Avram Grant not to travel for Sunday’s crucial World Cup qualifier in Egypt insisting the journey is dangerous for the Israeli.

The Jewish state’s most feared security body says the Israeli coach’s trip with the Black Stars to Alexandria on Saturday for the Group E qualifier poses a threat on his life.

Ghana lies second in the group behind Egypt and will need to win to ease their journey towards another World Cup appearance.
