Awal Mohammed misplaces match winning bonus

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that Black Stars defender Awal Mohammed has misplaced an amount of $12,500.

According to our sources, the money represented the match winning bonus given to each player after Ghana beat Cape Verde 2-0 in the 2013 African Nations Cup quarterfinal.

Awal, who plays for South African top flight side Maritzburg United, is reported to have lost his money when the Black Stars emplaned to Nelspruit for the semifinal against Burkina Faso match.

Each Black Stars player has now received a total of $50,000 for reaching the last four.
