Awards night for retired sportsmen and women

The Ministry of Youth and Sports would organise a National Awards night for retired Sportsmen and Women on Monday, November 6, at the Accra Sport stadium.

A release signed by Mr. Dan Piime, Acting Chief Director of the Ministry, said in connection with this, all keep fit clubs in and around Accra and Tema have been requested to submit names of their members to the secretary of Ghana Retired Footballers Association, Greater Accra Region, for onward transmission to the Ministry.

He said chairmen of the Ghana Retired Footballers Associations in the regions are also requested to submit to the secretariat, a list of all retired Black Stars players to be forwarded to the Ministry by October 31, 2000.
