Youth and Sports Minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah has hailed Contractor for the Axim multipurpose sports complex, Bismark Agyei-Boadi, MD, Bismarth Enterprise for his innovation.
At the inspection of the facility on Thursday, January 10, the Minister lauded him (Contractor) for his ingenuity by adding a hostel facility to the Multipurpose Centre.
So far, the four stands at the centre and offices have neared completion.
The Minister in a post inspection interview said "I am highly impressed with work so far. The contractor, a local one of course, in spite of the heavy rains has moved very fast and progressively.
" What he has done clearly shows building local capacity is important, he is a young local contractor and he has engaged local workers; in effect, we have created jobs for them."
The Sports Minister made recommendations to ensure the facility meets the required standard.
In like manner, the National Youth Authority CEO, Emmanuel Asigri praised the contractor for the quality of work.
He hinted that the hostel facility could be of immense benefit to Ghana and neighbouring French-speaking countries who have plans of studying English in the country.
The facility expected to be completed in the next few months has FIFA standard football pitch, tartan tracks, volleyball, basketball Courts, ITC/Counseling Centres, modern day restaurant etc
