New LOSC Lille coach claims Ghana forward Jordan Ayew is eager to ditch Lorient to join him.

Coach Renard Havre worked with Ayew at Sochaux where the youngster was let out on loan by former club Olympique Marseille. There exists a strong bond between the two with the 46-year-old gaffer widely tipped to be ready to sign him on after taking up the Lille job on a three-year deal.

Now Renard has in an interview with French media outfit, LeSport10, claimed the Ghanaian international’s main wish is to leave Lorient for a reunion with him this summer.

"I can confirm that Jordan [Ayew] wants to come me [at Lille], but he has a boss. It is he who decides," the immediate past Ivory Coast gaffer is quoted as saying.

"The only problem is that he may be a bit expensive, not to mention the competition of English clubs who will enter the race. It will be increasingly difficult."

Jordan Ayew himself, though did not mention where he would like to go, admitted to supersport.com recently that it was going to be difficult for him to push for an exit from current club Lorient after just one season but would see how things work out when he returns to France for pre-season.

A couple of reports from the English press in recent days have also linked him to Liverpool and Everton.
