Andre Ayew will play for Italian giants Roma but only under one condition.
The latest news on the impending move of the Ghana star was revealed by newspaper L'Equipe at the weekend. The paper says the son of Abedi Pele has decided to join Roma, but on the condition that they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the biggest talking points from Africa in the coming transfer window. Interest is coming in from from different clubs like Liverpool and Swansea City in England, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke in Germany as well as Inter Milan and Roma in Italy.
But the Black Stars vice captain, whose current contract with Olympique Marseille expires at the end of this season, is widely known to have Champions League football as a priority.
Inter are out of the race for a Champions League place, while off-form Roma currently occupy the third and last Champions League place in the Serie A, but face competition from Napoli who are five points behind, with a game in hand, and seven rounds of games left to play.
