Patron and former President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana [SWAG], Mr. Joe Aggrey has charged the sports journalism body to exhibit gratefulness to MTN Ghana for holding the association down for years now.
The Global communications giant [MTN] have been sponsoring the most glamorous annual SWAG Awards Night for the past eight [8] years and Mr. Joe Aggrey believes it’s only fair for SWAG to show gratitude to MTN Ghana for their benevolence.
“We owe MTN a lot of gratitude for holding us for all this years,” he said at the launch of the 42nd MTN-SWAG Awards Night on Tuesday, April 04, 2017 at the plush MTN House.
Mr. Joe Aggrey, a former Minister of Youth & Sports further exalted SWAG for being able to hold the Awards night for 42 years consecutively.
“Holding an event for 42 years is not an easy task and I don’t think there is any award that has reached this milestone,” Mr. Joe Aggrey noted.
The 42nd MTN-SWAG Awards Night ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Banquet Hall of State House in Accra, Ghana.
The annual SWAG Awards are a special activation by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, where sportsmen and women who distinguish themselves diligently in their various sporting disciplines in the year under review are honored.
