B/A Stars declare ‘All Die Be Die’

* on Premier League Referees*

*B/A Stars did in the first round of this season’s Glo Ghana Premier League blame officiating as the cause of their struggling form. They claim that the biased refereeing was a sort of punishment to CEO of the Sunyani based club Kwadwo Tachie Arhin. They believe that because Mr. Tachie Arhin is their main critic, that’s why all the referees turned their anger on the team. This, the B/A Stars management did state at a press conference to point out to the FA showing all the matches they claimed to have been robbed in as evidence to their claim.*

We all know that B/A Stars were also punished by the GFA’s Disciplinary Committee for an attack on the referee who handled their match against New Edubiase at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Also, just recently the same club assaulted a referee until he collapsed at the Berekum Golden City Park when in an FA Cup match, of which’s case is still pending hearing at the Disciplinary Committee and that has left the FA undecided on which team Berekum Chelsea should meet when the FA Cup matches resume.

All these controversies and hooliganism attitude is the results of the team’s current bottom position on the league log but still * SportsInGhana.com* investigation concerning the attitude of some of the team leaders have not changed, as some of their remarks on air attest.

Notorious politician, guru, mafia, rebel and superstitionist Raphael Cubagee alias Shamo Quaye who has been assigned to lead the crusade of the club’s survival as Spiritual leader has indeed given a hint of the approach he will adopt. In an interview on the leading sports station in Sunyani, Ark Sports, Cubagee borrowed the ‘all die be die’ slogan of aspiring presidential candidate Nana Akufo Addo as the very words B/A Stars will use to deal with referees who come to the Sunyani Coronation Park when the league re-starts.

There is no doubt that it is a very dangerous statement that needs the GFA, PLB and the Referees’ Appointment Committee to do something about because B/A Stars with this pronouncement are serious in putting it into action. The aforementioned indiscipline act is evidence that they are not saying it for saying sake so even if it needs external security to protect the referees, the Referees’ Appointment Committee should not hesitate in doing so.

Cubajee went on to say that they will use all means, good or bad, to win all of their remaining six league matches at home, even if they will have to emulate what Gambia U-17 team did to Black Starlets when a supporter entered the field and scored the goal that won them the CAF U-17 Cup some few years ago.

As a lover of our league and a journalist who appreciates the virtues of fair play, l entreat the bigwigs of the GFA and the PLB that they must adopt effective strategies to protect the referees when they have assignments here at the Sunyani Coronation Park when the Glo Premier League do resume.
