Brong Ahafo United will on Friday December 23 play host to newly promoted division one side Nkyenkyekye FC of Dormaa in pre-Christmas friendly thriller at the coronation park.
United who have not tasted defeat after five matches will seek to stretch their unbeaten record to six as the year comes to an end with a win over their zone 1b opponent . B/A United as usual will count on the experience of players like former Asante Kotoko marksman Shilla Alhassan ,Richard Atika , former Kotoko defender Emmanuel Nkrumah , speed star Roger and chief executioner Raymond Nyarko for a Christmas victory package for their supporters .
Nkyenkyekye FC will enter the game with resilience and determination to avoid humiliation from the Apostles Of Power Soccer knowing too well a defeat against United will affect the team’s psyche during the league season.
United before this game had drawn 2-2 with defending GLO premiere league champions Berekum Chelsea in Sunyani, whitewashed Aduana Stars 4-1 in Dormaa which stands as Aduana’s heaviest defeat in Dormaa since the club’s formation. United then journeyed to Tumu and beat Hilla FC 2-0 during the MTN FA Cup preliminaries .
According to the President of B/A United Mr. Ransford Antwi , the team will display the magnificent Kwaku Firi cup which United won last week in Wenchi for the first time since its inception .On their way to annexing the cup , B/A United drowned perennial rival Bofoakwa Tano 1-0 in the semis before silencing another hard nut division one side Universal Stars of Techiman 1-0 in the final clash.
