B.A faces lenghthy ban for attempt to bribe referee

B A United football club has put themseves in hot waters when they attempted to bribe referee CM Astatsa in their GT premier league game against Okwawu united at Sunyani coronation park a fortnight ago, which ended 1-1.

lt is recalled that, B A united fans assulted the referee after the match for the reason that he has collected C9 million without assisting them to win the game, so the referee sensing danger on that occasion made early incursion to prove his innocence- filed the case in his report plus the match commissioners report and submitted it to the GFA .

Thorough investigation confirmed that, BA united wanted to bribed the referee by giving the money to one Kwame-( a lotto agent )to be given to the referee { Astatsa} but he did not send the money to the referee. He thought BA united were capable of beating Okwawu so the money becomes his, but there is an adage which says that "unfortunate thing always happens to bad deeds mankind makes " so the match ended in a 1-1 draw game .

Meanwhile GFA has referred the case to the Disciplinary committee for further investigation and if B.A are found guilty of the charge they will face up to 5 years ban.

ln another development, Okwawu united on the footstep of Tano Bofoakwa- has also lodged a protest against B.A United of fielding unqualifify player in the person of Charles Ampiah in their league match game at coronation park.Bofo had earliar on accused the said player -of been attracted three yellow cards before their league game with B A which they lost 2-0 to the apostles of power soccer so both cases are now with the disciplinary committee of the FA.
