Baba Mensah named best defender

Baba Mensah has been adjudged the Ghana Premier League Best Defender for the 2014/2015 season.

He was awarded on the day he played for the Local Black Stars and got eliminated from the CHAN qualifiers to the 2016 finals in Rwanda.

The Inter Allies defender beat competition from Lawrence Lartey (AshantiGold captain) and Asante Kotoko centre-back Ahmed Adams.

The centre-back scored three goals last season- all penalties and made 24 appearances.

Mensah was also a member of the Ghana U23 team which played in the 2015 All Africa Games.
