Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman has admitted he needs to work hard to earn a first team place at Chelsea.
Rahman is yet to break into the Chelsea starting team after joining them last season from German Club Augsburg.
The left-back had a decent campaign with the blues after featuring in 14 League matches for the Club.
The 22-year-old says he must work hard in other to cement a position in the team.
“The only thing that can keep me at Chelsea and also to break into the team is hard work,” he spoke to Starr FM.
“There is a lot of competition in the team. Everyone is trying hard to secure a place in the starting line-up, so I also have to work extra hard. Without hard work, I can’t play.”
The former Greuther Furth defender who is currently in his second season at Chelsea is on a pre-season exercise with his Club.
He will be hoping to impressive in the preseason in other to secure a place in Antonio Conte’s squad.
There have been reports of a possible loan move for the Ghanaian international with Fenerbahce and Besiktas reportedly interested in the defender.
