Baba Rahman’s girlfriend Sally joined the listless number of Ghanaian fans celebrating the Black Stars defender’s debut for English champions Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Sally, who the 21-year-old reveals as the success behind his meteoric rise, demonstrated full support for the right-back just before kick-off of Chelsea’s match day one opening game against Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Stamford Bridge.
Manager Jose Mourinho handed Rahman his debut start for the Blues since his £21.7 million move from German side Augsburg last month and he excelled as the Premier League title-holders recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over the Israeli Premier League side.
Rahman, who took the place of under-siege Serbian international defender Branislav Ivanovic, scored a high mark on his debut and is widely expected to hold down the role for the weekend Premier League clash with Arsenal.
