Baba Rahman sees red in German Cup

Youngster Baba Abdul Rahman was sent off on Saturday in the German Cup as Greuther Furth side were shocked 2-0 by third-tier side Kickers Offenbach.

The 18-year-old Ghana U20 left-back came off the bench on the 58th minute mark but was sent off two minutes from time for a bad foul.


Rahman will be suspended for Greuther Furth’s Bundesliga opener against Bayern Munich next weekend.

His compatriot and mentor at the Bundesliga side Gerald Asamoah lasted 67 minutes for Greuther Furth.
