Former Ghana international Anthony Baffoe says he was impressed with the turn up at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium when AshGold beat M.O Bejaia 1-0 in the CAF Champions League.
The Miners pulled off a 1-0 victory over M.O Bejaia in the first leg of their CAF Champions League encounter on Sunday evening.
The result against the Algerians divides opinions with many anticipating a reverting encounter in the second leg in Bejaia.
The second half strike from experienced defender Tijani Joshua was however enough to give the Ghanaian champions something to hold on to ahead of the second leg.
And Baffoe says they should work hard to ensure they secure the needed result in Algeria in a fortnight’s night’s time.
“I want to congratulate Fianoo for the results but there is still a lot of work to be done,” Baffoe told CITI-SPORTS
“I saw the pictures from the game and the stadium was very full and that was impressive.”
“The score line is not that bad but they will have to work ensure to ensure that they get the desired result in the second leg.”
