Illness keeps in-form Kwarasey out

In-form goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey missed Portland Timbers Western Conference play-offs semi-finals against Whitecaps due to illness.

Kwarasey, who was the hero in Thursday’s Knockout Round win over Sporting Kansas City, had become ill overnight because of flu.

Backup keeper Jake Gleeson got the nod in his place.

Timbers drew 0-0 at home and with the away goals in effect, they will advance with a scoring draw.
