Ghana attacker Emmanuel Banahene became the Hero on the day after scoring twice to help Ismaily defeat Ghazl El Mehalla 3-1 in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.
The Ghanaian international found the back of the net in the 27 minute before adding his second on the day in the dying embers of the game as they cruise to a resounding victory in front of their home fans at the Ismaïlia Stadium.
Karim El Dawy was also on target for the home team.
Banahene was finally handed a start by his manager Ahmed Hossam after struggling to earn a startling role ever since the arrival of Egyptian attacker Shikabala from Zamalek.
The 27-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game.
Fellow Ghanaian Torric Jebrin was also in action for Ismaily.
