Barclays' Regional Golf in Kumasi This Saturday

The 38th edition of the Barclays Bank Ghana, sponsored Regional Golf Championship, will come on at the Kumasi Golf Course on Saturday, October 18, 2003.

The 18-hole stableford competition will attract golfers from Obuasi, Awaso, Tarkwa, Benso and Tafo with the Managing Director of the Bank, Kobina Quansah leading his powerful team for Barclays Bank headquarters in Accra and the Ashanti Regional office.

They include Alhassan Andani, Head Corporate Banking, Mark Horwood, Joyce Otchere, Senior Retail Manager and Philip Ofori Asante.

Host club Captain Kwasi Bawuah will spearhead the challenge from the Kumasi side of Prof Owusu Addo, George Boateng, Dr. Plange Rhule, Sam Otchere, John Owusu, F. K. Boateng, Atta Poku, Delvine Heinsworth, Nana Agyei Owusu, Col Ayouma and S. K. Appiah.

The ladies include Gloria Sotomey, Mercy Ampofo, Vida Agyei Frempong, Margaret Opong, Amawu Atiase and Felicia Asante.

Others include Henry Yao Atiase, A. K. Baffoe, John Badu, Fayez Hage, Dr. SWK Intsiful, Jimmy Ray, Frank and Florence Etwi Barimah and A. A. Asante.
