Ashanti Gold SC skipper Joshua Tijani claims the departure of former head coach Bashiru Hayford has affected the team.
The two times league winning gaffer resigned from the Miners after eight weeks in the Ghana Premier League.
The team is currently last on the log following their home loss to Hearts of Oak over the weekend but the versatile defender has vowed they will work hard to turn things around to make sure they are out of the drop zone.
''Bashiru Hayford's departure has affected us a lot, things have not been going well for us since he left,'' he told Starr FM.
''When he was around he motivated us a lot and always encouraged us. This is not our deserved position. We will work hard to get out of the bottom of the table.''
