Bashir Hayford will take Asghold far - Fianoo

AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo insists Bashir Hayford will take the club far after the coach penned a new two-year deal.

Hayford, who led the club to their first league title in 19 years, will remain with the club until 2017.

"Our decision to renew Coach Hayford’s contract was in appreciation of the work he has done so far with the club and we believe that given what he has done so far, he will take the club very far,” AshGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo told Graphic Sports.

"We are also confident that he is the right coach to lead the club to Africa."

Hayford was named Ghana Premier League Coach of the Year at an award ceremony organized by the Premier League Board two months ago.

He moved to Obuasi two years ago from Medeama SC.
