Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey continued his unassailable form in Finland as he lead KPV Kokkola’s spark in their sensational comeback win over Lahti on Sunday afternoon.
Yartey, 29, restored parity for the Green and Whites on the 65th-minute mark at the Lahti Stadium. The former Sochaux Montebelliard attacker intelligently positioned himself inside the box as he fed on an Enoch Banza assist to score the leveller.
He then set up the third goal for Joni Mäkelä on the 89th-minute mark as he delivered a cross which was beautifully controlled and connected home by the Finnish.
His corner kick in stoppage-time fetched the fourth goal of the game.
Yartey has now taken his goal tally to 6 from 9 games and provided two assists. This means Yartey has directly been involved in 8 goals in 9 games since he joined KPV halfway through the season.
With three games left to end the season, Yartey is primed to score more goals and power KPV to safety.
