The mother of Kyei Andoh, Class III referee who was beaten to death in the Western Region, has expressed doubt over the autopsy report by doctors that claimed her son died out of natural causes.

Madam Sophia Nketia, in an interview with Oti Essilifie in the Western Region lamented, "I am almost fifty years and I have been to hospital just once, so was my son, he was not somebody who used to fall sick. The doctor said my son Kyei died a natural death but I don't believe it."

Asked specifically whether she challenged the results, she said, "I am a poor woman with nobody and I do not have money to take the GFA or anybody to court."

It will be recalled that in March this year Referee Andoh officiated a division Two League game between Najoe United and Gold Stars which ended 2-1 in favour of the away team, Gold Stars.

The irate home fans beat the referee which reportedly resulted in his death days after, but an autopsy ordered by the GFA proved otherwise.

Kyei Andoh until his death was a pupil teacher.
