Commissioned by HE Ambassador Dr Erieka Bennett, Diaspora Africa Forum and Chaired by Dr. Nana Nkrumah Brobbey and also graced by top Goverment Officials, royals, politicians and influencers, the Tano community had a different song to sing when Kingsley Owusu Achau(Agama) businessman, philanthropist and native of Bechem donated the ultramodern Kings Foundation Center of Learning.
Addressing the gathering a tearful Agama said, it was a great joy to give back to the Tano community with a Library, being a former teacher himself, And so when Nana Gyeabour told him he desired to build a Library he bought in to the idea because it tied beautifully into the motto of Bechem United FC ‘education through Sports”
He added ” years later and the dream had become a reality” Kings Foundation Center of Learning conpraises of a Library, IT and Cultural Center. Adult education center will be inculcated to the center to give everyone an equal opportunity to get education.
Ambassador Bennett said it was a great honor done her to commission the Center and pledged her support and expertise to ensure the Center grows in leap and bounds.
The Center has books from preschool to tertiary, encyclopedia and supported with books by Dr Bennett, Mrs Muriel Essel, Mr Addo and Rainbow Trust Foundation (Book Aid Ghana) all of whom the foundation is thankful to.
The commissioning climaxed a three day event of the 22nd annual Tano Homecoming Festival and Awards and dinner night which took place from August 3 -5.
