Head coach of Bechem United, Cobby Mensah, has revealed that he is not impressed with the exploits and performance of his team in the first round of the Zylofon Cash Ghana Premier League.

The final matches of the first round of the league were played Sunday June 3, with Bechem United recording a win over their opponent West African Football Academy (WAFA), by two goals to one.

Speaking at a post-match conference, Coach Mensah stated that prior to the game the team prepared well because they were aware of how poor they have been in recent matches.

“We were playing home and there was pressure on the team to win. So the players had to play their hearts out and win the game at all cost,” he said.

Asked whether he is impressed with how his team has performed throughout the first round of the league, Coach Mensah reiterated that he is not impressed following the inconsistency of his players.

Bechem were only able to win five matches out of the total fifteen matches played.

During that run, they also lost six and drew four. These results see Bechem united 10th on the league table with just 19 points from a possible 45 points.
