Bechem United are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to put their best foot forward at the forthcoming Dallas Cup in the USA.
The club's Under-17 boys on Wednesday demonstrated some great piece of performance to beat a well-grilled cadet side - Kitase Action Boys Academy 2-0 at Mampong, Akuapim, in the Eastern region of the country.
So commanding was United's output that many thought they should have run away with an avalanche of goals.
Despite their supreme control of the game, the Bechem boys failed to knock in the goals in the first session. However, they found their scoring boots after the interval with Hope Avayevu Kodzo and Razak Abubakar crashing in the goals to secure a well-deserved victory.
An elated Bechem United chief coach, Yugoslav Bogdanovic Millislav, said “the win was a good start."
"We had a great performance and we hope to build up on this. So far, it's been a great start."
The coach was also full of praise for his boys as he looked forward to building a formidably winsome side ahead of the Dallas Cup that is scheduled to take place from April 14-21.
Bechem’s Isaac Soglo, who was voted Man-of-Match, said he was highly optimistic of the team's chances in the tournament.
“With a couple of games more, I think we should be able to do well and hopefully win the Dallas Cup for Ghana for the first time,” he asserted.
