24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen winger Karim Ballarabi has reportedly agreed to pledge his international future to Morocco, footy-Ghana.com understands.

The pacey winger who was born to a German mother and a Moroccan father in Berlin qualifies to represent the Black Stars through his Ghanaian step-father.

Bellarabi grabbed global attention last August when he scored the fastest ever goal in Bundesliga history after netting against Borussia Dortmund after just nine seconds on the opening day of the 2014/2015 season. He has since scored three goal in all competitions so far.

With such an explosive early season, the former German under-21 international has attracted high interests from all three countries for his international future but it is the North African nation who appear to have won the race.

Reports say Bellarabi recently had a fruitful meeting with the coach of the Atlas Lions Badou Zaki where he confirmed his readiness to join the side.

The winger is expected to be named in the next Moroccan squad in October ahead of friendly games with Central African Republic and Mauritania as the Atlas Lions seek to bolster their squad ahead of the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
