Berekum Chelsea decry boardroom crisis

Berekum Chelsea are losing points for failing to pay WAFA and it is spiraling.

The club are failing to pay for their share for the transfer of Solomon Asante to TP Mazembe three seasons ago.

Chelsea have already been docked 18 points for matches they won due to a Ghana FA ruling.

The Berekum outfit will from now lose any match they win until they pay WAFA and this, according to striker Latif Salifu, is having a huge effect and demotivating the players.

“During our premier league game against Aduana Stars I picked up an injury and one of my players said to me: 'After all, even if we win the game, our points will be deducted so what is the essence of forcing ourselves to the extent of picking up injuries?'” said Salifu in an interview with Joy Sports.

“Initially I thought this issue was not going to have a negative impact on us but after what my player told me in that game, I realised the things were getting out of hands.

“The way we played the second half didn’t show we were serious about winning the game.”

Chelsea next play Hasaacas in the league.
