Berekum Chelsea defender Nicholas Opoku 'sparkles' on Ghana debut

Defender Nicholas Opoku impressed hugely on his Ghana debut in Saturday's 2-1 international friendly defeat against USA in East Hartford, Connecticut.

The Berekum Chelsea centre-back came on in the 38th minute for Rashid Sumaila who looked to have suffered a knee injury.

Opoku showed great composure at the back and brought some stability to the jittery defence.

He was a member of the Ghana U-20 which failed to qualify for the 2017 African Youth Championship.
