Berekum Chelsea deny Bekoe neglect claim

Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea have rubbished claims that they have neglected their injured striker Eric Bekoe.

The former Ghana top flight goal king collided with an opponent and as a result got his leg broken keeping him out of action for months.

News broke on Friday that the Blues have ignored their striker mainly due to the fact that he got injured during the season’s break. However, the club has stated they are seeing to their responsibility as far as Bekoe is concerned.

“Since Bekoe got injured we have been visiting him at the hospital where he had his surgery and seeing to his upkeep that he recovers fully,” Isaac Amponsah, the club’s spokesperson told Accra-based Power FM.

“If someone said we have abandoned our responsibility as a club is mere fabrication,” he added.
