Bernard Arthur has reiterated his desire to inflict pain on Asante Kotoko in the Premier League encounter on Saturday.
The Liberty Professionals striker proved to be a thorn in the flesh of Hearts of Oak when the two sides met in the second round of the league and even registered his name on the score sheet with a solo effort to level the scores for his side.
And as they lock horns with the Porcupine Warriors, Bernard Arthur, who has six goals this season in the league wants to repeat the performance he displayed in the Hearts of Oak’s game against Asante Kotoko come Saturday at the Carl Reinholf Park.
“I will score one goal against Asante Kotoko tomorrow because I want to make history. In Ghana we have two big clubs and there if I’ve managed to score against Hearts, I think I have to replicate that same level in the Kotoko game for the fans to be happy, and I know they expect something big from me going into this game and I can assure them that I’m prepared to answer their calls.”
In the MTN FA Cup semifinal against Okwahu United, talisman for the side Latif Atta Blessing was substituted in the second half after what appeared to be an ankle injury; however, his partner in crime, Bernard Arthur has called on the other players to take the mantle in his absence as they aim for maximum points against Asante Kotoko.
“In liberty, we have so many good players which in my opinion can cope with Latif blessing’s absence. Because most of the games we play, and he’s not part, we sometimes win and other times lose, which I think it’s normal in any football club, but it will be in right of the other players that play in the same position as him to stand up and be counted, but on my part I wouldn’t any problem whether he’s there or not I’ll just do my thing.
Liberty Professional lies 8th on the table with 30 points from 23 games going into matchday 24 in the Ghana Premier League.
