Bernard Mensah vomits at maiden Atletico Madrid training

Ghana international Bernard Mensah’s pre-season began on a sorry note after intense vomiting meant he was unable to complete his training session on Thursday.

The youngster signed for Atletico Madrid after a blistering season with Guimaraes in the Portuguese top tier but was quickly loaned out to Getafe last season.

But his spell on loan with Getafe did not go as planned and he has since returned to Atleti for pre-season.

After excelling out on the first day of training his second day was cut short with intense vomiting that ensured he had to leave the pitch.

The severity of his condition is not yet known but if all things go accounting to plan he should join the entire team for training again tomorrow.
