Bernard Tekpetey has had a rocky start to life at Fortuna Dussledorf but will get another chance to make an impact against Paderborn.
The 22-year-old showed a lot of promise before moving to Dussledorf having scored ten goals and proving a further six for the promoted side Paderborn.
This season, however, has been disappointing for the Black Meteors winger, failing to find the net in 10 outings for his new club and playing full time once.
His coach Uwe Rösler said: “In the current direction, we need players who keep making deep runs at top speed to get past the opposing chain of defense. That is the requirement profile and after that I set up. "
This is a trait that Bernard has failed to display much due to his lack of confidence and that has hurt his chances in the side. A goal against Paderborn will be the boost he needs.
