Spanish Segunda Division side Sporting Gijon has confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie ahead of the forthcoming season.
The 26-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Rojiblancos on a free transfer after ending his six years stay at Italian Serie A club Genoa.
The club official statement reads; "Midfielder Isaac Cofie (Accra, Ghana, September 20, 1991) has become the last reinforcement to arrive at Sporting for next season."
"He measures 1.84 meters, weighs 75 kilos and comes from Genoa in Italy, the country where he has developed most of his professional sports career."
Cofie featured for several clubs in Italy including Torino, Piacenza Calcio, Sassuolo Calcio, Chievo Verona and Carpi.
He scored three goals with three assists in his 119 Serie A appearances for Genoa.
