Betway Ghana has in a short ceremony welcomed the 18 finalists of the Betway Talent Search into camp at the Lizzy Sports Center. The ceremony also marked the beginning of a week-long of activities meant to hone the 18 aspiring footballers to become professionals.
The Project Manager for the Betway Talent Search in welcoming the finalists, said, "As we welcome you today, we look forward to seeing the very best of you, this is a fine opportunity to showcase the best of your skills. Rise up to the challenge and we wish you all the very best."
A cross section of players interviewed showed massive appreciation to Betway Ghana for the opportunity, Ahmed Mukaila, a left back, expressed joy at the sudden sense of professionalism that hit him on arrival. He said, “I did not expect to see the facilities we are being given here, from the room, the kits to the ambience is just overwhelming.
All of the 18 finalists expressed hope of emerging as winners.
The Betway Talent Search trials kicked off on 8thof July, 2017 in Takoradi and made stops in Koforidua, Kumasi and finally in Accra on the 29th of July, 2017. The 18 finalist were drawn from more than a total of 1,200 aspiring footballers who took part in the try-outs.
