Sixteen Premier League sides would be entered into the live draw for the Round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup which takes place Thursday evening.

Following the completion of the preliminary round ties, involving 96 clubs drawn from the second and third tier of the Ghanaian league system, 48 teams are through to the next stage of the Cup competition.

And the upsets have already begun as champions, FC Nania would be missing from the draw at the premises of television station, Metro TV.

Nania's title defence came crashing on their first attempt as they lost to Great Olympics.

All qualified sides from the preliminary stage would be placed in the same ballot box with the 16 premier league sides - all drew a bye for the preliminary round - for the one-off games.

With no team seeded, the draw could pair two premiership sides in the Round of 64 fixtures as the elite division clubs would enter the fray for their Cup debut this season.

However, the possibility of having more upsets looms as some lower tier clubs could draw Premiership clubs.
