Black Meteors Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko has hinted on inviting foreign base players to beef up his squad ahead of their game against Togo.
The Ghana National under 23 were deafeted 3-0 in a friendly game against Asante Kotoko in Accra.
But speaking to the media after the game the assistant coach of Black Stars hinted on beefing up the squad with the addition of some foreign-based players.
“We are going to have some foreign players in the team. This game has given me a fair idea about the team and the players we can work on. Because we only have nine days to prepare for the game. With the foreign and the local players I think we can build a good team”
Ibrahim Tanko also hinted on another friendly game before the qualifiers against Togo.
“I think by two or three days I will have some of the foreign base players who are already here. And then others will join few days before the game. If I have those who are here and I think we need friendly games definitely we have to play all friendly game before the Togo game”
Ibrahim Tanko conceded his team needs to improve on their finishing ahead of their encounter against Togo.
The Black Meteors will host Togo on 18 December, 2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi and the second leg in Lomé four days later.
