Black Princesses to play two invitational tournaments ahead of World Cup

The U-20 Female National team, the Black Princess is scheduled to participate in two invitational tournaments in Singapore and China as part of preparations for the upcoming Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018 from 5th-24th August, 2018.

Mr. Elvis Adjei-Baah, head of Public relations at the Ministry of Youth and Sports told the GNA Sports an interview said the ministry has approved of the training programs presented by team’s management, which includes the two training tournaments to put team in good shape for the bigger task ahead.

The Black Princess, who are currently in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence at Prampram would honour two invitational tournaments, where they would to play in the Kubba Challenge Cup slated for Singapore from the 11th-18th June, 2018 and move to China from 1st -9th July, 2018 as approved by the ministry, according to Adjei-Baah.

According to Mr Adjei-Baah, “the technical handlers of the team, believe that the program presented, would help put the team in shape and the ministry had no better option, than to approve it and wish the team the very best in their preparation to lift the name and flag of Ghana high in France”.

Ghana have been drawn alongside host France, Netherlands and New Zealand to make up for Group A.
