Black Queens begin preparations for Japan friendly as 25 players train in Accra

The Black Queens of Ghana have begun preparations for their upcoming friendly match against Japan.

The Queens held their first training session in Accra on Wednesday after opening camp in the capital on Tuesday.

On the first day of training at the Union Park in Legon, 25 of the 33 players who have reported to camp participated in the session.

The 25 players who trained on Wednesday include Freda Ayisi, Azumah Bugre, Cynthia Konlan, Anasthesia Achiaa, Mukarama Abdulai, Comfort Yeboah, Mary Amponsah, Princella Adubea, Doris Boaduwaa, Evelyn Badu, and Philomena Abakah.

The others are Safiatu Salifu, Victoria Antwi Adjei, Gifty Assifuah, Susan Duah, Vivian Adjei Konadu, Stella Nyamekye, Portia Boakye, Kerrie McCarthy, Nina Norshie, Bridget Adu, Adama Alhassan, Mavis Owusu, Jaqueline Owusu, and Alice Kusi.

Coach Nora Hauptle is expecting eight more players to join the squad to bolster the team for the upcoming challenge.

Ghana's Black Queens are scheduled to play the international friendly against Japan on Saturday, July 13.
