Black Queens Management Committee Chairperson Madam Leanier Addy has assured Ghanaians of victory in their Olympic games qualifying second leg encounter against the indomitable Lioness of Cameroon to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

After drawing the first 1-1 two weeks ago in Yaounde, Madam Addy she believes the team are well prepared and very ready to move closer to a historic qualification to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

“They have been in camp for a long time and have the desire to do something for the nation”, Madam Addy said in an interview with Ghanafa.org.

The senior national female team, face a crucial task as a win for them on Saturday could see them make it to the final stage of the qualifiers where they will face Ivory Coast for a slot in next year’s Olympic Games.

Madam Addy who is also the Chairperson of the National Women’s League, believes her team has what it takes to make it to the next stage at the expense of their opponents.

“I am very optimistic because Cameroon has never beaten the Black Queens in open play. It has always been a drawn game and we got eliminated there on penalties but this time around we went there first and they are now here for the return leg.”

“We have spoken to the girls and psyched them up not to be complacent. We know financially it’s not forthcoming and so money is not a priority now, there are many opportunities after this match and they have assured us that they will win this game”, she added.

On the arrival of the Cameroonian team, she said everything has been put in place to receive and welcome them since they were given similar treatment during their stay at Yaoundé.

The Cameroonian team is expected to arrive between 12:00 and 1:00 on Thursday and will be lodged in Accra.

“The Deputy General Secretary in charge of International Competitions has put in place arrangements for them to be received at the airport and taken to their hotel”, the only female GFA Exco member intimated.

Ghana could join either South Africa/ Kenya or Nigeria to next year’s Olympic Games which will be staged in Brazil if they win Saturday’s match and beat Ivory Coast subsequently.
