Black Queens defender, Faustina Ampah, has successfully undergone a knee operation in Belarus after being laid off for some time.
The lanky defender had her left knee worked on after picking up a knock at her club side before joining Ghana for the 2018 Women’s AFCON.
While playing for the Black Queens, Ampah looked to have worsened the situation by picking another know which ruled her out of Ghana’s final group game with Cameroon.
The successful operation done on Wednesday will see Ampah out of action for six months before returning to the rectangular surface.
Ampah is, however, thankful to God for the successful surgery and hopes to return soon.
“I have successfully undergone my surgery on my left knee, on Wednesday, thanks to everyone who has assisted me with prayers and goodwill messages,” she wrote on her Facebook wall after the operation.
