Black Queens Goalkeeper, Fafali Dumaha, dreams of winning the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations with Ghana.
Fafali was a member of Mercy Tagoe’s side that won the inaugural WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations tournament hosted by Cote D’Ivoire early this year.
The Police ladies shot-stopper is eyeing a third trophy with the team after aiding the Black Queens win Gold at the 2015 All Africa games in Congo.
Knowing what it takes to be a champion, Fafali has asked that Ghanaians put everything behind the team in order to make their championship ambitions a reality.
"The coaches are taking us through a very hard training and we are playing some matches for preparation and also our foreign-based players will be in by next month before the coach will come out with his final selection but I will say we are on course,” she told fafaa Fm.
“Since I have joined the Black Queens I have been in 3 tournaments with the team and the first one is Namibia which we were out of the group stage and in Cameroon we took the 3rd place which is Bronze and the recent one is the WAFU tournament which we took the trophy so with these experience and the way things are going on in the camp and the way we are training hard , the team spirit and also the way the coaches are taking us through the necessary training I will say we are going to win the 2018 women AFCON.
“I am pleading with the public, individuals or organizations to also come and supports us whether in prayer or financial so that we can win the trophy”. She added.
The Black Queens are still undergoing preparations ahead of the big continental tournament starting in November.
