Ghana women national team coach Yusif Basigi is demanding more work from his side despite their 3-0 win over Egypt in the 2016 Olympic Games qualifier in Accra on Sunday.

The Black Queens are on course to make their first ever appearance at the Olympic Games after winger Portia Boakye opened scoring in the second half before Jane Ayieyam and Elizabeth Addo sealed a 4-1 aggregate scoreline against the Lady Pharoahs.

“It was always going to be difficult because Egypt are not a bad side. They came with a tactical ploy but we were able to upset them,” Basigi told Joy FM.

“We knew how they were going to play. They wanted to sit back and take us on counter breaks but we mapped a strategy for that.

“Individually, we are ahead of them but tactically they are not bad.

“We have to still sharpen our attack. We were not clinical upfront in the first half, so we need to work on our attack going forward,” he said.

The Black Queens are now through to the final stage of the Rio 2016 qualifiers and will face Guinea or Cameroon next.

Ghana missed out on the last edition in London.
