Accra, July 13, GNA- The women national team, Black Queens were at the weekend whipped 8-0 by the Ministry of Education select side in a special friendly tie played at the nations Wembley, Accra Sports Stadium.

The game, which was largely dominated by the select side, saw them scoring five goal in the first half and three in the second. On the afternoon, Coach Ako Aryee fielded all the five professional players who joined camp last week from their US base but the blend was not enough to stop the more agile Ministry boys from over-running the Queens.

Fire was opened on the Queens from the blast of the whistle to the end and it came as little surprise when talented Nuhu Fusanie who had a splendid afternoon and scored four out of the eight goals opened the floodgate for his side during the first five minutes.

Nuhu's goal inspired his side to probe for more goals and exposed the weakness in the Queens defence marshalled around Aminatu Ibrahim. Queens keeper Fati Mohammed conceded perhaps the cheapest gaol in the game in the 8th minute.

Within the first quarter of the game, the Queens who were using the game as part of their preparation for their world cup in the United States this September conceded four goals.

From recess, coach Aryee revamped his squad, but the changes could not bring up the excitement fans were expecting as their passes could hardly go through and their midfield machinery built around midfield gem, Ajoa Bayor had it tough passing the ball beyond the centre line. Skipper Alberta Sackey leading the Queens attack could hardly penetrate their opponents' zone as the boys gave the ladies little time to brief to allow any incursion.

The closest they came to scoring was when Bayor's connection from substitute Gloria Oforiwaah's set up missed the post narrowly in the 60th minutes and Mavis Djangmah's narrow miss in the 65th minute. The game resumed its pattern soon and Filix Adjei who had come in for Nuhu scored the six goal after he had weaved his way through the Queens defence.

The rest of the two goals followed within five minutes bliss to end the game.
