The Black Queens of Ghana wore one set of jersey throughout the just ended Africa Women's tournament in Cameroon.
Impeccable sources within the GFA revealed to Starr Sports the management of the team washed one set of jersey throughout the five matches the ladies played in the tournament.
According to the players, the washing of their kits after every game killed their motivation after the first game against Kenya which they won 3-1.
“We were surprised to hear that we needed to start washing our jerseys game after game without any explanation. We were, but sometimes these representatives of the FA behave irresponsibly at times.
“To avoid the media from chancing on this disgraceful administrative lapse, the team quickly requested for some two other sets of jerseys after the tournament which was described by the players as needless,” some of the players disclosed.
Starr Sports was unable to reach any management member about the issue. The Black Queens won bronze at the tournament.
