The Black Satellites of Ghana will open camp for the FIFA under 20 World Cup today.
World Cup winning coach Sellas Tetteh has named a 35-man provisional squad for the tournament to be held in New Zealand.
Ghana who are paired in Group B alongside Argentina, Panama and Austria, were bronze medalists at the 2015 African Youth Championship in Senegal.
The team’s performance in Senegal is believed to have influenced the early camping as head Coach Sellas Tetteh is bent on improving the team’s stock ahead of the competition.
“All is ready for the team to open camping tomorrow with all the players who have been invited by the head coach,” Management chairman Parma told Accra based Happy FM
Ghana is the first African country to ever win the FIFA Under 20 world cup beating Brazil on penalty in the year 2009.
