Kumasi Asante Kotoko stalwart defender, Awal Mohammed says he is not bothered for failing to make it into the senior national team squad ahead of the Afcon qualifier and a double -header friendlies later this month.
The 29-year-old couldn't make a return to the Black Stars of Ghana despite his sparkling performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
He believes that Coach Kwesi Appiah will invite him to the team at the appropriate time.
Ghana are currently preparing for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia as well as a double-header friendly with Mexico and USA.
"Why should I get worry about the Black Stars snub?, we have over 500 professional players who qualifies to play for the team," Awal said.
"I will return to the team [Black Stars] at the right time and am also working very hard to earn another invitation,"
''Am now with the local team [Black Stars 'B'], which motivates me to do more to grab a place in the senior national team"
Awal is the skipper of the home-based senior national team of Ghana.
