Head coach of Black Stars B Maxwell Konadu has expressed his satisfaction with his side's 2-2 all stalemate against Burkina Faso in the 2018 CHAN qualifier on Saturday.

The local based Black Stars opened the scoring at the Stade du 4 Aout through Asante Kotoko striker Saddick Adams before Sylla Mohammed pulled level for the Stallions.

WAFA captain Gideon Waja restored Ghana's lead midway through the encounter, only for the side to relinquish their lead again to Illiase Sawadogo's strike.

Despite failing to return home with a win, coach Maxwell Konadu was impressed with their display but bemoaned that they could have avoid the goals they conceded during his post-match interview.

“I am not disappointed about the scoreline but am a bit worried about how we conceded the two goals because I felt we could have done better than that,” says Kodanu.

“We are playing far away from home and I think a 2-2 scoreline is not bad as we all know but we could have done better,” he added.

Ghana will host Burkina Faso in the second leg in a week's time at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, and the winner on an aggregate scoreline will qualify for Kenya 2018.

The team will be hoping to pick the sole ticket for Kenya after the disappointment of missing out in the last edition.
