The preliminary list for Ghana's 2008 African Cup of Nations will be released by the coach of the Black Stars Claude Le Roy tomorrow.

The list will be released in the official newspaper of the Ghana Football Association, GFA News, which hits the stands on Tuesday.

Even though the GFA vice president refused to unveil the identities of the players to be called up he is confident of a good team.

"Ghanasoccenet I won't tell you which players the coach has decided to call but I can assure you that the list will be out in the next 24 hours," GFA vice president Fred Pappoe told Ghanasoccernet.com.

"The coach has taken his time to name the best players available for the Black Stars to make sure that we win the African Cup of Nations."

The number of players in the list is expected to be around 40 which will be whittled down to about 25 or 28 depending on the performance of certain players in their league matches in Europe in the next two weeks.

The final list of the Black Stars will be unveiled in Dubai where Ghana's national team will be having their pre-tournament training.

The camp in Dubai will open on 2 January and all players are expected to report by the evening of 6 January.

Coach Le Roy is planning friendly matches with local sides in Dubai to avoid unwanted injuries in the squad ahead of the tournament which starts on 20 January.
