Black Stars play Uzbek side in first pre-AFCON friendly

The Black Stars will lock horns with Uzbekistan side Bunyodkor later today, Tuesday, January 10 in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly.

The match will be played at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai. It is expected to test Ghana’s preparation for the Nations Cup, which begins on Saturday, January 14.

The Stars’ technical handlers have planned one more warm-up game before departure to Gabon.

Ghana is in Group D and will kick-start their campaign on Tuesday, January 17 with a clash against Uganda.

They will later take on Mali and Egypt,w ho are making a return after a seven-year absence.
