The Black Stars of Ghana are gearing up for their opening match in the 2025 CAF African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, set to take place in Morocco.
They will face Angola in September at a venue that is yet to be announced.
Grouped in Group F alongside Angola, Sudan, and Niger, the Black Stars are preparing to clash with these well-known adversaries.
The tournament is scheduled to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
During the first international break of the 2024-2025 season, from 2nd to 10th September, Ghana will compete against Angola and Niger.
In the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, Ghana and Angola emerged from the same group, with Ghana clinching a 1-0 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium, thanks to a goal from Antoine Semenyo.
Kwasi Appiah, a former player and coach for the Black Stars and a victor in the 1982 AFCON, now leads Sudan's national team.
He will guide Sudan in their October matches against Ghana.
Otto Addo, the current head coach of Ghana, has commended Appiah for his coaching expertise and acknowledged the formidable challenge his team will face.
The Black Stars are scheduled to play against Sudan in consecutive matches between 7 and 15 October.
